Ellen Review: This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I wanted to like this book more than did, what with all of the pre-publication hoopla about it and I am teaching Jane Eyre right now.

Perhaps the latter is the problem. I am teaching Jane Eyre right now, so I am reminded of how wonderful that book is -- and this book, although Livesey tries, just can't live up to its inspiration, Bronte's novel.

Granted, I was with Livesey at the start. Jane Eyre has been updated so that young, orphaned Gemma has to leave Iceland (her father's homeland) when he di

However, the lack of romance really surprised and disappointed me considering what I love most about this author is the way she writes romance.

Basically, the story is the rebuilding of the hero and heroine's friendship, the romance aspect doesn't

Larry H Review: Don't mind me...just waiting for my pulse to get back to normal.

When one of your absolute favorite crime writers continually waxes poetic about how incredible a book is, you probably should listen. So I have Don Winslow to thank for recommending the amazing UNSUB by Meg Gardiner.

This is a book that has my heart pounding and my pulse racing, and I very well might wind up with nightmares (this is why I stopped watching shows like Criminal Minds on television), but holy crap, was it worth the r
