Eve Recinella (Between The Bookends) Review:

I have been enjoying this series a lot and was SOOO looking forward to Victor and his dolls. I was expecting something hot and kinky and dark. Alas, this one while still an enjoyable read overall, failed to quite live up to my high expectations...

That said, I still really do enjoy this author's writing style, and it continued to be very good with this book. The pace was a bit up and down for me. The first 60% was slow and nothing really happened. I struggled to feel a connection between Victo

Kelly (and the Book Boar) Review: Find all of my reviews at: http://52bookminimum.blogspot.com/

Last week’s trip to the library/NetGalley was all due to status updates by Goodreads’ friends that hooked me like a fish immediately and had me clicking the request button without looking at ratings, reviews, synopses, nada, so it’s those friends who are owed the credit (Blame??? Sharon Review: Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced readers copy of the newest book in the series, in exchange for an honest review.
I have been a fan of Mr. Kellerman’s, Alex Delaware series for many years.

I love how all of the murder mysteries that they are involved in are very complex, original and well thought out.
This book did not disappoint me.
It had so many twists and turns that kept me in

As part of the reunion, Harry is to perform before the magicians with one of his peers. Before the performance can even begin, Harry’s counterpart is murdered.
This leads to Harry being held as a “p

Lindsay Review: I liked this book, but I didn't love it. I wanted to, but the plot was too predictable and the characters kind of annoying and unbelievable, in some ways. It depicts a fascinating period in American history that isn't in history books - racism toward Chinese Americans at the turn of the century, which went hand in hand with the Exclusion Act of 1882. I love the setting - the San Juan Islands. The plot itself makes the story fun, but I was really hoping for some curve balls, like when they found
