Stefan Review: First comment I have heard about Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time series, specifically about its first book The Eye of the World was – Lord of the Rings rip-off.
Considering that, by that time, I haven’t read books nor seen theatrical version of them, that was far from the answer I was looking for.
In the meantime I have rectified my heretic ignorance, read and watched LotR and when finally time came for me to read Robert Jordan’s TWoT (which was last year) I dreaded that the series was a

Rick Riordan Review: hooked me with a great premise: medieval nun assassins who serve Saint Mortain, the god of death. The novel is set in an alternate realm of Brittany, where the local gods have been subsumed by Christianity and renamed saints. The old ways live on, however, especially among the daughters of Saint Mortain, who serve as the realm's assassins, killing those who need to be killed.

Our lethal heroine, Ismae, escapes a life of poverty and abuse by joining the convent. Soon she is plunged into a game of

Dynamopiev Review: Absolute shit! Some terrible, terrible song choices - Nelly Furtado!! It's embarrasing! Like hearing your dad telling you he watched the fratellis on Jools Holland and thought they were great! Awful, awful book!

Previous rating: 8 stars
New rating: I don't know anymore. Millions of them, probably. Or maybe trillions. Who knows?

» And the moral of this particular rererereread is:

Oh, and also:

Bye now. Things to do, tourists to strangle and all that crap.

Ms. Yingling Review: Amelia Culverson and Paul Edmondson were slaves in the early 19th century who had 14 children together, even though they knew that their children could be taken away from them by their masters at any time. Eventually, several of the children (including Emily and her sister Mary) decided to run away, and made their way down the Potomac River only to be recaptured. The slave trader who ended up with them, Bruin, offered to sell the Edmondsons to their father instead of sending them to New Orleans
