Sherri Hessick Review: The president of my local genealogy club asked me to read this book and write a review for the society. I was hesitant since it is the 2nd in a series and I am a little anal about reading series sequentially. However, I agreed and am very glad I did! It says it can be read as a stand-alone and they were right; I didn't feel as if I was missing anything by not having read the first book and the author didn't bring it up to try to catch me up, which I appreciated. I love mysteries and I love genea

Tina Rath Review: I start with the admission that I am a Johannes Cabal fan. I follow him on Twitter. If I were not already married and he were not a fictional character I would marry him. He is an anti-hero of the deepest dye, duplicitous, selfish, and anti-social to the point of sociopathy. In this latest account of his adventures he leads an expedition into the Lovecraftian territory of the Dreamlands in pursuit of the Phobic Animus financed and manned by The Fear Institute. All - well practically nothing - is

Karen Voitik Review: >Book Review – Sam’s Surrender
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 4th in the Hearts and Heroes series and ends in an HEA. Kinsey has a rather vague backstory that results in her relocating to Europe. She is mugged and loses all of her id and money. She finds a job as an au pair and follows the family to an island in Greece where she works for them for a week until she is kidnapped. Sam is on a forced vacation from the army. He has a lot of emotional baggage that causes him to t

Michelle Cynthia Review: I ordered this book after enjoying the author’s interview on Jen Hatmaker’s Podcast. She seemed more relatable in the Podcast than this book. I thought I might want to underline or write in it (there are pages to make lists), but nothing moved me enough to lift a pen. When the book was over, I said to myself, “That’s it?” The ideas are more article-worthy than book-worthy. The chapter on decluttering feels like a vague blurb compared to Marie Kondo’s book. The author’s kids are still quite young

Julia Gerard Review: I loved Ozzy and Maria's story! I enjoyed that they knew each other thru friends and kept in touch and flirty. Then when they came together again things heat up! There is danger and crime and that attraction the heats up and boils over! And Rugby! I recommend this story!
